Hello,

Let me tell you that tuberculosis (TB) is not caused by a virus but it is due to a bacteria known as mycobacterium tuberculosis. There are certain specific antibiotics such as isoniazid, rifampicine to treat TB but these drugs also cause hepatotoxicity. But you should understand that at present taking medicines for tuberculosis is much more important than worrying about your liver. Your liver function will gradually come to normal once you are done with anti tubercular drugs. And you can also take supportive medicines for liver during the treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
