Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been having shortness of breath for the past week... I went to the urgent care and they check my oxygen level and heart and said that s all normal.. They said I would have to get further tested to make a diagnosis.. I suffer from anxiety since I was 18 years old. I am now 26.. It feels horrible and makes me so antsy just thinking I have a serious problem... Help? Can it be anxiety?
Hi dear, Acute anxiety can cause breathlessness. But, longterm anxiety is an uncommon cause of anxiety. Anyhow, as initial evaluation including oxygen saturation is normal, you need not worry. Just be confident. Take care. Thank you.
