Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
19 year old female, no health problems. Im just starting my exams and my whole body has a horrible shivery feeling all over my skin - i feel like i need to go for a long run or something to sweat it out, is it just anxiety or something else? Im 5ft2 and not overweight.
Shivering and seating before exam suggest performance anxiety. it is common and acceptable to some extent. If it can affect your performance in exam then only treatment is advisable.
If you have no issues with exam then leave it and do not think about it.
Confidence and Hard work can reduce it. when you will face it repeatedly then it will gradually disappear. It can be treated with medicines but before that you require proper evaluation.
So consult and get advise from psychiatrist if required.
Thank you. Best wishes.
