Can Any Online Doctor Help Me With The Lab Results?
Hello Doctor. I just came from a hospital, and have my Lab results but by the time i got out of lab DOctor had left the hospital. So i have not received any help.
But here are my results can tell me wat my problem could be?
Indication: Menorrhagia with dysmenorrhae Report: The uterus is heterogenous in echopattern and is noted with hypoechoic mass with in the anterior, myometrium. The mass slightly displaces the endometrium posteriorly. Mass = 22x14mm, no adnexial masses noted, no free fluid in the pouch of Douglas. urinary bladder and both kidneys appear normal. Conclusion: Findings are suggestive of multiple discrete and one noticeable intra-mural myomas.
How serious is this? Unfortunately i was told fibroids are not treatable.
There are different layers of the uterus. The myometrium is the muscle layer.
A fibroid is a benign (non cancerous) growth that originates from the myometrium. They can be classified according to their location. Your result states that your are intra mural ,this means that they are within the wall of the uterus.
Fibroids can be treated. There are different medications that can be used.
If the medications are not effective then surgery to remove the fibroids or the uterus , is an option.
I hope this helps
