Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been told I have gerd... At times I m having a hard time breathing, but no burning sensation by my lower sternum. I actually feel better when I walk it off, so I would imagine cardiac issues are out of the possible reasons. if I push down by my lower sternum I feel a little better. I m also feeling a bloated feeling. Do you think it would be ok to take some apple cider vinegar or would that make things worse?
Hello, There is no evidence that apple cider vinegar is useful in the treatment of GERD. It might not worsen GERD. I would not advise it as a replacement for antacids. A Porton pump inhibhitor like omeprazole or pantoprazole help you with your symptoms Hope this helps Regards Dr Samir Patil
