General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, I understand your concern. Back belt for back ache would give you temporary relief . Instead of the belt.. for moderate back ache after abortion, you should - - use normal over the counter NSAID pain medicines for a couple of days. foment the back/ light massage with muscle relaxants ointments... should take care of pain due to the tissue stress after the procedure. - Consult your doctor to exclude any retained products causing the pain... & take specific treatment as per advise, - The pain can be due to some other cause .. like bone weakness ( calcium/ vitamin D deficiency )/ joint pain/ spinal problem ... these need consultation of an orthopedic doctor & follow his advise. Thanks.
