Can Bee Sting Cause Any Harm To A Child With Aortic Stenosis?

My son is 8. He has aortic stenosis and our cardiologist said I need to be cautious of any skin infections or anything to cause valve infection He just got stung by a bee or wasp, not sure which. I have put ice on it and saw baking soda paste helps neutralize the acid. Should I be concerned and follow up in regards to the cardiac condition. Our cardiologists office is closed. Thanks

Hi...bee sting as such will not cause any infection. But I will tell you the danger signs of the sting getting infected - if surrounding skin is becoming red or hot or tender to touch along with high grade fever ranging more than 101 you need to be careful regarding the condition which you have mentioned. Otherwise no need to worry about the sting. If he develops itching you can use any over the counter anti allergic medications licenced in your country.
