Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 64 years old and am lactose intolerant. I have been having diarahria rather regularly even though i have cut out most dairy and take lactaid. My father had gallbladder disease and i was wondering if that might be the cause of my intestinal distress??
Lactose intolerant individuals can have diarrhoea if they consume products contain lactose as ingredient. Now that you have cut out all the diary products, it should come down if you are lactose intolerant. You can consult a gastroenterologist to rule out any gall bladder related issues. hope the above information helps you. Thanks.
