Can Beta Blocker Taken For Abnormal EKG Cause Tiredness, Pressure In Head And Neck With Lowered Pulse ?
My son is 24 years old and lives with his brother. He saw a cardiologist and due to his abnormal EKG the cardiologist gave him beta blockers and wanted to do an echo sound. He does not have insurance opted out of the echo. He's been feeling extremely tired and has pressure in his head and neck and his blood pressure is 110 over 80 with the pulse of 113. should he go to the emergency room? He was told to stop his beta blocker two weeks ago because his pulse went down to 52. I'm concerned and not sure what to tell him. He's been a normally healthy active young man until about 3 months ago.
Hello Thanks for the query to HCM Forum. The main side effects of beta blockers are FATIGUE, DIZZINESS , BRONCHOSPASM, INSOMNIA , LETHARGY , INSOMNIA, BRADYCARDIA . So all these symptoms which you mentioned in your query may be due to beta blockers . In my opinion please upload the report of EKG , otherwise it is very difficult to evaluate any diagnosis can any treatment . Good luck.
