Can Birth Control Pills Be Taken For Early Onset Perimenopause?
I m 42 yrs old and taking birth control (low dose) for hormone replacement due to early onset perimenopause. I don t smoke, have bradycardia due to my exercise/healthy heart. Am I at increased risk for stroke/PE/etc taking oral contraceptives at my age especially with bradycardia?
It is recommended to take hormonal therapy when there are menopausal symptoms. They have few side effects, so it should be taken only if most required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
