Can Black Mold Cause Irregular Heartbeat?

Hello, my office had black mold a couple of weeks ago, i removed it with tissues and painting over it. Now I ve been having wierd heart beats and skipping heart beats for a week. My blood tests are very good and my cardiolist says he can t find anything wrong after doing an eco. Could it be black mold effect?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It's less likely due to black mould however, if EKG and Echocardiogram are unremarkable you should get a Holter monitoring done and if any persistent abnormal heart rhythm is detected in spells during the course of the day, you may need to have electro-physiologist review and get EP studies done. Using beta blockers may also be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
