Can Blandness Be Caused Due To Regular Bleaching Of Teeth With Hydrogen Peroxide?

I seem to have suddenly lost my sense of taste. Tonight I ordered fried onion rings and a corned beef sandwich with horseradish and I couldn't taste any of this food nor the root beer soda other. This lack of taste came on just recently. During this time I had been bleaching my teeth daily per dentist's instructions with a hydrogen peroxide kit. Could this be the cause??!

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Loss of taste of tongue after using hydrogen peroxide bleaching kit can be due to overuse of the chemicals leading to loss of taste buds from.tongue which in turn causes loss of taste of Dysguesia..

You can get examined by your Dentist and if the problem is due to the bleaching agent then you should stop using it further..

If you wish to get your teeth bleached then you can opt for in-office bleaching technique that can be done by an Aesthetic dentist..

Hope this information helps..

Regards.
