Can Bleach Cause Rashes, Pimples And Redness In A Child?

My 2 year old daughter spilled bleach on my 6 month old daughter while sleeping, she only had the bleach spilled on her back, I let her sit under running cold water then gave her a&d ointment on the red scaly pimples on her back, she's ok and didn't cry when I touched it, but is this normal? What should I do? How long till the rash go away?

Hi

Yes bleach can cause skin burns in a child.
These are basically superficial burns and can take some time to heal.
These can be associated with redness and blister formation.
First of all, wash the affected area with soap and water so as to remove any residual bleach.
Next, you need to apply - topical antibiotic steroid combination cream over it.
Do not apply any harsh chemicals or soap over it.
Wear cotton clothes to avoid any further irritation.

Hope it helps
