Can Bleeding And Cramps While On Implanon Be Indicative Of Miscarriage?

I recently had started using the birth control implanon. I had no period for the first month, and now in the second month I am experiencing light bleeding, about a week earlier than my normal cycle. During this, I was having extremely painful cramps and there was a grey/purple clump that came out. My bleeding and cramps stopped afterwards. Is this inductive of a miscarriage? What could it be?

Hi,

Your periods may be early or late, shorter or longer, heavier or lighter than normal. You may also have some spotting between periods, especially during the first several months of use. If bleeding is prolonged (more than 8 days) or unusually heavy, contact your doctor. If you miss 2 periods in a row, contact your doctor for a pregnancy test.

Hope that was helpful.Let me know if i can assist you further.
