Can Blood Pressure Level Be Brought Down Through Exercise And Diet?

i had a blood pressure reading of 195/90. I waited a few minutes and it was 150/84. I waited a couple of hours and it dropped to 150/73. I do take a blood pressure pill in the morning (bazaar). Is there a way to drop my blood pressure further through exercise or diet. You should know high blood pressure runs in my family

Hello,

Diet and lifestyle modification play a very important role in lifestyle modification walk at least 30 mins daily. Yoga and meditation will be of help it manages the stress level and secretes happy hormones.

Avoid high content of salt foods like pickles, papad, tinned/processed food, fast food, increase the amount of potassium in your diet.

Caffeine intake should be minimised. Drink at least 4 liters of water daily, avoid smoking /limit alcohol intake, keep a check on your weight -overweight is an invitation to hypertension, eat healthy foods that are lower in fat, as well as plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. It can help you to lower your blood pressure.

Take proper 8 hrs sleep, start monitoring your blood pressure daily at same timings, make a proper chart for consecutive 7 days. Take 5 min rest before taking blood pressure. Take your medications regularly.
