Can Body Itching Recur Post Discontinuation Of Levocetirizine?
Hi, I am a 32 year old man and i am suffering for itch all over my body, i think it triggers when i had a fungus and treated with nizoral tablet and a side effect on my palms, feet and lips had itch. Then my internist told me to stop the nizoral instead to use a Levocetirizine and it was a relief from extreme itching. But what i fear about is when can i stop to take my med as my internist told me to stop them when the itching is gone but it recurs again after 2-3 days, so i take levocitirizine every 2-3 days. Hope you can help me with this.
Hello Greetings Regarding your symptoms of generalized body itchy following a brief stoppage of levocetiriizine tablet will require you to see your physician though taken it every 2 -3 days is okay but this may lead to overdose In view of this you will have to see a dermatologist specialist for assessment On this note add allergin tablet topical hydrocortisone to your levocetirizine tablet pending your appointment I hope this helps Regards
