Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an xray of a small hard growth on my tibia. It is about 6 inches below my patela, well below the tibial tuberoscity. I have not had any trauma that I can recall to that spot. I first noticed this growth about 5-6 months ago and seems to have grown some. My PCP said it is probably a bone spur and has sent me to see an Ortho MD. Is it common to have a bone spur this far down on your tibia? Away from the ligament and muscle attatchment?
take x-ray. it can be due to stress. . take the view of orthopaedic surgeon and keep the growth under watch.in-my opinion it is a bony growth and not a spur if it grow further ,biopsy may be required.keep it under watch.
