Can breathing in paint fumes, even if less toxic lead to laryngitis? I voice sounds strained and scratchy to me at times and I think it has been this way since I painted two weeks ago. Although the bathroom was well ventilated with the window open the entire time. However, I am also a teacher......
Yes the vapours of paint irritates larynnx. Stay away from painting area. This irritation along with more usage of voice as you are teacher has lead to this condition. Take 5 days antibiotic course with steam inhalation 3-4 times daily. Take lots of warm water with voice rest. You can take advice from ENT specialist.
