Can Bulimia Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes Under The Jaw?
can bulimia cause swollen lymph nodes under the jaw? I am a 20 year old girl, I have a swollen lymph node under my jaw on the left side. I have absolutely no other symptoms anywhere else on my body no sore throat, sores, a cold, or anything else. Also, I read that swollen lymph nodes could be a sign of an std. I recently had protected sex (condom) on the 14th of january as well as unprotected oral sex. Could this be a sign of that? I have so symptoms of an std or anything else abnormal besides the swelling. Or is the swelling the result of my increased purging? I am very scared.
Hi, bulimia has nothing to do with swollen lymph nodes of jaws neither purging. Now possible causes if swollen lymph nodes are viral infection, bacterial infection including STDs,parasitic infection, fungal, immune,or rarely cancerous, as u said u had unprotected oral sex before then this possibility might be there of having STDs but co relation with other symptoms is also required. You can undergo VDRL and other antigen antibody testing to get ruled out possibility if STDs,so contact your physician for further information.
