Can Bulky Left Ovary Hinder Fertility?

Hey Dr I m a 25year old all my life I have had irregular periods twice I ve EVEN had my period for more than a month. Four months ago I made an appointment with my Dr about my problem he gave a 6month prescription to regulate my period but I m not disciplined to take them always forgetting when or how to take the tablets or sometimes don t even fetch the prescription. My doctor also took a scan of my ovaries and told me very calmly my left ovary is a bit bulky and it s nothing to worry about. My question is will this be a problem when I m ready to conceive. Because I have been having unprotected intercourse for 2years and there has been no signs of any baby

Hi,

One of the ovaries being bulky is not a hindrance to fertility. At 25 years your ovaries might be showing follicles and a normal architecture.

However, it is requested to follow your medications and get your periods in order.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
