Can Bump Behind Ear And Swelling In Armpits Be Caused By Tooth Infection?
Hi, i recently had an abscessed tooth burst and i got most the liquid out. The tooth itself got really infected this last week. I recently have had lymph nodes under my arm pits become enlarged as well as a blister like bump behind my ear. Can the cause of these be from my tooth infection?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen axillary lymph nodes are not commonly seen due to tooth infection while it can never be swollen cannot be certain.. The blister like bump behind the ear can also be a swollen lymph node while it can also be an abscess.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis.. He can advise you a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and warm compresses over the lymph nodes.. In case if there is no improvement consult a General Physician and he can advise you a Biopsy of lymph nodes to rule out the exact cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
