Can Burning Sensation In The Feet Be Treated While Recovering From Bladder Cancer?
I have had bladder cancer since Nov. of 14. I have had tumers scrapped and burned and am now awaiting a check up to see if I am free of cancer. Since the treatments, I have dryness and now fell Feb 14 and broke my ankle. I am now about healed up but have had lots of nerve pain in my legs and feet. My feet burn like crazy and my legs ache at night like a string is tied around them to stop the blood from flowing. My Dr. suggested Gabinten. What do you think is wrong?
Burning feet syndrome can happen after a cancer treatment especially after chemo radiation. We have to rule out conditions like peripheral vascular disease as it can cause similar symptoms. As of now you can take vitamin-B complex for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persists, better to consult general surgeon and get evaluated. You have to get an ultrasound Doppler for further assessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
