Can Buspar Have Negative Drug Interaction With Other Medication?
Hello, I have a quick question. I have been looking into asking for the medication: BuSpar. I currently take Amitryptiline 100 MG, Lexapro 20MG, and Clonzepam 1mg 3 times a day. Would BuSpar cause negative drug interactions for what I currently take already? I have pretty much every anxiety disorder possible, but lately the anxiety has been so severe that I feel like I'm going to blackout during my panic attacks (and I have blacked out a couple times before).
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You are using amitryptiline, lexapro, clonazepam, have doubt whether you can use Buspar with them. Buspar can not be used with monoamine oxidase, MAO inhibitors, like isocarboxazid, phenelzine , tranylcypromine, linezolid, and procarbazine, which are used in psychiatric disorders, can cause increased blood pressure. The combination of buspirone and trazodone, an antidepressant, may cause abnormal liver enzymes in the blood. Still if you have any doubt you can consult your doctor for clarification. Wishing for good luck. Thank you.
