Can Calamine Lotion And Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream Be Used For Poison Ivy?
Hello I got poison ivy 4 days ago. It is about 4 sets of lines on my forearms and itches real bad. I m trying not to scratch it. But I was wondering if I could use calamine lotion and triamcinolone acetonide cream .1% cream together? I ve been to the doctor and prescribed me the cream.

In addition the use of an oral antihistamine would also help eg benadryl, zyrtec, allegra, claritine.
If there is no improvement with the persistent use of this medication or there is worsening of the symptoms then you may need a short course of oral steroids.
