Can Calf Muscle Tightness And Spasms Indicate Arthritis?

I am a 69 yr. old female about 200 lbs. On a recent trip to Nevada, my calves and feet really bothered me. I did a lot of walking. On the 4th day my feet and ankles started swelling. I saw a doctor when I came home and she put me on a fluid medicine which helped, but I still have tightness in my calves and get charlie horses quite often. Could this be arthritis or what can I do to feel more comfortable?

Hi,

Elevate your limb while sitting and sleeping. Avoid upstairs and squatting.

To make exact diagnosis get xray of both knees stand in AP and send me the report. Probably its arthritis.

Apply hot packs for 3o mins in morning and evening.

Take aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside three times a day by prescription of your doctor.

Thanks.
