Can Capillary Telangiectasia Be Treated?
I had an MRI done about 4 wks ago and the results stated that I had a Capillary Telangiectasia thats about 6mm in size. My neourologist stated that its something thats usually not treated and that the worst that could happen is that it could hemmorhage, cause a stroke and/or death, but that is very very very rare. Is that true? Do I have anything to worry about? I am very scared. How would I know if it has ruptured? What can cause it to rupture? Thank you

Yes, capillary telangiectasia may lead to future stroke, but it is very very rare. Only 0.4-1% of people it may observe. Pontine telangiectasia may prone to develop migraine attacks and strokes.
Hypertension or mild head injury may aggravate your problem. Please consult your neuro physician so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
