Can Child Be Operated For Swollen Tonsil When Having Sickle Cell?

Hello, a while back my 4 and a half year old son was diagnosed with swollen tonsils and was told it was the cause of his heaving snoring at night and bouts of gasping for air while asleep. This was about 6 months ago. Two ENT surgeons recommended removal but one is against. He has sickle cell and I am not sure if the operation will be okay given his condition. The problem relaxed a but it is back again in full force. What can I do? I am confused

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The boy had tonsils and the symptoms, and usually they will be active, during the winter. The boy will be exposed to the allergens like fruits etc.
As a sickle cell anemia patient he may face, bleeding etc side effects in surgery.
Once he become adolescent, surgery may be tried ,symptoms persist.
Give him more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts and protein rich foods.
Wishing him a positive recovery of health. Thank you.
