Can Childhood Case Of Whooping Cough Cause Wheezing In Later Age?
We just learned that our 2 yr old adopted baby had a confirmed case of whooping cough at the age of 4-6 months .In the past 5 months has had 6 episodes of needing to use albuterol /neb treatments to help her with wheezing ....Is this related to her illness as a baby?

Hi, whooping cough episodes at 2 year of age doesn't lead to wheezing episodes but this may suggest that child has low immunity or probably allergic to dust or other things. Due to allergy to dust or low immunity, child may develop wheezing episodes. I hope this will help you. Take care.
