Can Chronic Cough And Colitis Be Harmful To A Person Suffering From Heart Failure Post Mitral Valve Replacement?

My mom has had congestive heart failure and has recently had a defib/new pacemaker last year she had a mitral valve replacement. She has only 30 percent of her heart working . She is 81 also has a chronic cough, diagnosed with opcd as well as colitis and a nodule on her lung with has almost doubled since July of this year. I want to know what her life expentcy aprox is. She is still in the hops now being watched for a platelet count of 67 which has been dropping daily

Dear sir

As per your query I reviewed her history and mediciations. Since her age is a barrier, copd will not improve drastically. So it might be progressive.

Usually it is associated with heart chambers enlargement due to copd with significant reduction in ejection fraction and cardiac output.

Her impaired platelet count is due to bone marrow atropy. It is age associated. But upto certain extent vitamin d3 supplementation will help
