Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
One night i was kissing some guy while laying on top of him we both had underwear on and pretty sure i was still wearing my dress can you give or get chylamdia from this. About a week later I had sex with a different guy and it was my first time ever in unprotected and later I found out I had chylamdia so I m pretty certain I got it from him but I m still worrying that I got it from the other guyand should tell I tell him but I would prefer not to.also struugle with anxity so that does not help.
Chlamydia is commonly contacted through unprotected oral, vaginal, or anal sex. The bacteria are usually spread through sex or contact with infected genital fluids (semen or vaginal fluid). Chlamydia is not spread through frottage as it needs open contact, meaning without a condom or other barrier method with someone who has the disease.
You can't transmit chlamydia through kissing, sharing drinks in glasses, or hugging. However, kissing can spread herpes and syphilis. Herpes and syphilis can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, particularly at times when sores are present. You are suggested to get treated for chlamydia and get your partner treated as well. You will have to take a course of antibiotics orally (Azithromycin / Doxycycline). In the meantime, avoid sex while you are getting treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
