Can Cluster Of Rashes On The Wrist Be An Allergic Reaction To Poison Ivy?

I want to know if it is possible for poison ivy to have a delayed reaction. I have a rash on my wrist that appeared one week ago. About 4 days ago another little patch appeared. Now almost every day a little cluster of the rash appears all in different spots. Could this be poison ivy?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

The allergic rash is usually associated with itchiness. You should also rule out a condition called scabies in which wrist is usually affected. The allergic rash could be a probable diagnosis but final diagnosis could be made only after proper examination. I recommend you to consult your Dermatologist for confirming the diagnosis and for initiating the treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siva Subramanian,
