I ve had a bad cold/flu for the past week. i m in the coughing stage, coughing up green mucus. I ve been coughing so much that I think it may have broken some blood vessels in my eye or something. Only the right side of my right eye has been pink for 24 hours. Is this pink eye?
Persistent coughing can cause small blood vessels in the eye to rupture. Its generally harmless and decreases on its own. It is NOT the same thing as pink eye. Do not rub your eyes. It should clear up in a week. If it persists or gets worse, have your eye doctor check it out.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
