Can Colon Size Reduction To Normal By Surgery Cause Cancer?

Hi .Im 44 yrs old i weigh 85kg and my height is 1.67m.My colon has been giving me problems since i was 19,i battle to have a stool,most of the time i have a stool once every 3 weeks,by that time im so bloated ,irritaed and moody that i have to take a laxative.Ive went to my specialist,he sent me for a beria meal and the xrays show that my colon is twice its length.My question is;if i have an operation to have my colon cut to it's normal size,what are the chances for cancer?I
