Can Colonoscopy Cause Stomach Ache?

Hello, I had a colonoscopy March 11 (results all normal; tiny, tiny pre-polyp removed.) In the past few weeks, I ve been having a dull ache on the left side of my stomach, especially after I eat. The pain seems to be getting worse. I ve never had any problems with my stomach/intestines. Could this be related to my colonoscopy procedure?

Hi,
Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here

Normally you may feel dull abdominal pain till 3-5 days of colonoscopy and that might be due to the removal of pre polyp as u mentioned which are undergoing healing process and might cause pain when food moves through your colon

As you did not mention why u undergone colonoscopy , However Bleeding and puncture of the colon are rare but possible complications of colonoscopy ,and Visit your doctor right away if you have Excessive or prolonged rectal bleeding or Severe abdominal pain, fever, or chills.

I hope it help
