Can Congestive Heart Failure Cause Liver Damage?

My husband has recently been diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma and Cirrhosis of the live. He has never been a drinker. But i 2003 he had a heart attack and is a diabetic. Just wondering what drugs he takes may have cause him cirrhosis of the liver.

I can understand your concern.
Since he is not alcoholic, possibility of nonalcoholic Cirrhosis is more likely.
Metformin, anti diabetic drug can cause liver damage and Cirrhosis on long time use.
Chronic heart failure causes fluid retention and congestion in liver.
So these can also cause liver damage and Cirrhosis.
So all these are possible causes for Cirrhosis in your husband's case.
