Can Constipation And Bloated Feeling Symptoms For IBS Or Gluten Intolerance?
Hi, I feel bloated almost every day, and I am almost always constipated. I occasionally use a laxative when it becomes very bad, but I cannot keep doing that. My symptoms seem to match up with IBS, but how should I tell if I have a gluten-intolerance or something else along those lines? Thanks a ton!
Hello, I can understand your concern for your symptoms 1) Gluten intolerance is type of IBS based on causes. 2) You must continue to take measures for prevention of constipation. 3) If you had experienced improvement while avoiding gluten-rich diet then you must have gluten intolerance type of IBS. This type particularly affect proximal part of small intestine (Duodenum) and can be confirmed with upper GI endoscopy. This type of IBS spares the large intestine.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, I would be happy to help you. Have a nice day!
