Can Cucumber And Ice Cubes Help Reduce Skin Burns?
hi i wanted to cure my acne using garlic. so i made a garlic paste and left it on my skin for 30 minutes.but later on it burned my skin badly its all red and becoming dark now.i use micronil cream and benzoyl peroxide for my acne treatment.bt for the burn im now using cucumber and ice cube ...will it work?its been 4 days now...how long will it take to recover the burn?
I would avoid any acne treatment now that you have the skin irritation. I would just try to put cold compresses to quiet down the inflammation (do not use ice cubes directly on the skin as this may make the burn worse.
Wrap ice cubes or cold compresses with clean gauze and then apply on the skin for 15-20 minutes a few timed a day. You can also use a moisturizing cream 1-2 times a day to keep the skin soft and prevent it from breaking down.
It may take 1-2 weeks for the inflammation to settle and healing to happen but hyperpigmentation may result so make sure you avoid the sun and use sunblock with SPF of 30 or higher.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
