Can Cuts Cause Further Infection?

Hi my daughter cut her thumb today on the door and we cleaned it n put a bandage on it had her move her thumb nd everything n she does good she says it doesn't hurt but we were wondering if we should bring her into the doc anyway cuz it is a bad cut .... YYYY@YYYY

You have done the necessary first-aid, which is a good thing. Your daughter is doing well and that is a good thing too. However, I suggest that you take her to the doctor because there is a possibility that a splinter of wood may be lodged in the wound and can be a source of infection. Besides, she should also receive a tetanus shot.
