hi I have been on celexa and xanax for about 3-4 years. I didn't tell my mom about my condition and when I told her she flipped out like normal, that is why I normally don't tell her these things I am also 33 years old and think this is my business. Anyway my mother doesn't believe in pills and she came into my home and stole all my pills and then forced her way into my doctor's appointment saying she wanted me off all of them now. My doctor did convince her it would be very dangerous to just stop taking celexa but to stop taking xanax would be okay. I had been taking 20 mg of celexa 1 time per day and 1 mg of xanax 3 times per day( I should also let you know I also had 20 tablets on Vicodin becauce i spilled a whole pan of grease over my front side from chest to below belly button. This caused 2nd 3rd degree burnes all over my stomach, probabily addind to my mother's pill phobia. I was not going over any of these pills instructions . These were my doctor's instruction on how to take them. Do you believe my doctor was right? Or should I be taking off both slowly?
