Can Dark Skin On Nose And Chin Be From Using Eukroma And Diprovate?

I had pigmentation on my nose n chin area. My dr prescribed me to use a combination of Eukroma and Diprovate on the affected area. The 1st mth the results were amazing but gradually the 2nd mth the area where i was using these creams turned completly black and now my face looks horrible. It has worsened then before. What is the reason and what do i do now?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain diprovate contain Steroid and Eukroma contain hydroquinone..
Initially the steroid containing shows good results by reducing pigmentation but as time increases it can have severe side effects like darkening and pigmentation of skin, skin thinning, inflammation, rashes and swollen veins below skin..
In your case it seems to be side effects of steroid and you should immediately stop using the creams and you can start using ointment or cream containing Kojic acid, glycolic acid and arbutin..
Application of vitamin E oil, preventing sun exposure and applying sunscreen lotion and limiting stressing the eyes like long hours of using computers, watching TV can help..
You can put cucumber pieces over the closed eyes and also place grated potato for relief and helps in reducing dark circles..
Take vitamin Supplements.
