I am a 48 year old female. I have some recent problems with digestion. Frequent visits to the washroom, usually 30 min after eating. Some days worse than others. Can t narrow it down to any particular food type so far (think possibly milk or gluten?). History of colon cancer in the family (mother died of colon cancer at 33). Symptoms are loose stool, a gurgling sensation in my stomach shortly after eating, stool recently dark in color. I am otherwise healthy and active. I have an appointment scheduled for a colon test but I am somewhat anxious about the time frame due to the family history.
Since you are having dark stool i would suggest u do stool for faecal occult blood test.I f this is found to be positive then u need to do colonoscopy test to rule out malignancy. Regards DR De
