Can Degenerative Disc Disease Cause Lightheadedness?
I hurt my neck bending over in the garden. I have had an mri last year for neck pain. It showed disc degeneration from my neck down to the upper back/spine. I am in a neck brace for a few days, which surprisingly is providing relief. I have muscle spasms and pain. Now I am having lightheadedness. I haven t had any new tests done on my neck, the doctor prescribed muscle relaxers and physical therapy. This happened last Wednesday. I do not feel like the room is spinning, just light headed quite often during the day. I do not take any meds during the day, only at night. Could the neck symptoms be causing this light headed feeling and a bit shakey too.
As per my clinical experience, the degenerative disc disorders are not usual causes of light headache with shaky feeling. There can be various reasons for this headache and shaking as: - Alteration in blood pressure - Stress or anxiety - Inadequate sleep - Deficiency of vitamin B12 - Others
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
