Can Delay In Intake Of Thyroid Medications Cause Complications?

I have been unable to take my thyroid medication for several weeks for a complicated variety of doctor, insurance, financial reasons. What is this lapse in taking it likely to cause? Should I be concerned? I was just taken to the next screen and cannot afford to pay for an answer. Thank you, anyway.
