Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 19 years old and am currently taking one pill of OxyElite Pro in order to lean down during my cutting regimen. With school starting soon, I wanted to have something that will help my focus (I believe I have a mild case of ADD; will get tested) in school and came across Deprenyl. I know it is an anti-Parkinson s drug but I heard that lower does at 2.5 mg can help with concentration and focus. However, it is an MAO-B inhibitor so is it okay to take with OxyElite Pro? I am 5 10 and 202 lbs.
Though, Deprenyl use with OxyElite Pro has no interaction, but independent role of Deprenyl has yet not been studied extensively for its role in ADD / ADHD. Its role in Parkinson's disease is well studied and well established. However, due to its central nervous system stimulating effect, Deprenyl can cause some side effects like tics or tremors etc. Though in a small study these side effects have been noted minimal, (in the range of 8-10%), while being used in ADHD, still it is not advised to use this drug for ADD, if the conventional drugs are effective, till its efficacy and side effects are clearly documented.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
