Can Diabetes With Blood Sugar Level Of 458 Be Controlled With Medication?

We are worried about my father in law. He recently went to his doctor and found out his blood sugar level was around 458. He is diabetic. How worried should we be? Will eating healthier and exercising along with taking his medication correct this? He has not been doing any of the above.

The blood sugar is high, but you also mentioned he is not under diet and exercise and not even good medication, Following all of them will definitely help you controlling the sugar level. Try them and check blood sugar levels. If they are still higher he needs increase of dosage of drugs.
