Can Diagnosis Of Proctitis Be Inaccurate?

Hi, I had what I thought were internal hemorrhoids and when I went to the doctor he said that I did have internal hemorrhoids but that he also saw inflammation, therefore he diagnosed me with proctitis. He prescribed me canasa which help tremendously and stopped the bleeding completely. He said I had to take this for the rest of my life. However, I stopped taking it 1 month ago and I am completely fine, regular bowel movements, no blood or anything. My thought is that he might have misdiagnosed me by saying that I have proctitis when I only had hemorrhoids with inflammation due to the same. Could I just have had hemorrhoids and canasa cleared it up or do you think the diagnosis of proctitis is correct?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, natural remission for hemorrhoid is there either with medicine or without medicine but in most of the case hemorrhoid needs surgery, if it creates the doubt then you will have to get done the clinical examination and for that you have to go for second opinion, if it is all right and no symptoms are there then no need to worry about this hope this information helps.
