Can Diastasis Recti Be Diagnosed Through A Medical Test?
hi i am 67yrs old, had a fundoplication, not overweight but for the last year have had this huge firm football like stomach as though nine months pregnant, do not eat fatty foods or sugar, have cut down on everything and still no loss on my huge stomach. Have my stoamch muscles collapsed pushing my abdomen fwd. Have I got diastasis recti? can my doctor take tests to confirm this thanks lynne

You can self diagnose for diastasis recti Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Relax your head and shoulders and place your fingers just above your belly button. Lift your head and neck very slightly off the floor and press down with your fingertips. If you feel a gap, that's the diastasis. For a better diagnosis you can see your doctor.
