Hello there, Diamicron Mr 30 is a good drug to use for diabetics. However I need more information before I can say whether or not you should use another drug like your age, kidney functions and reason for high sugars in recent past. If your doctor has evaluated you and then suggested to increase the dose then let me tell you that the dose prescribed of 30 mg 4 tabs is high and you may benefit from another kind of medicine for diabetes. Try finding the reason why has it shot up now suddenly? Are you not on a strict diet? Are you not exercising as before or are there any other medicines you are taking. Is there any reason you are not on Metformin? So do review with your physician and find out more options. Take care.
