Hello! Losar contains losartan as active ingredient. Losartan belongs to the group of angiotensin Ii receptor blockers. It is an antihypertensive, it lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels walls. The indicated dose of losartan is from 25 to 100 mg per day, but most frequently 50mg are used. The dose of 25 mg in an adult is used when the patient also uses concomitantly a diuretic or aliskiren. If you don't use any of these drugs, it's better to increase the dose to 50mg initially, and if it is required at 100mg. You can safely increase the dose of losar, with your doctor advice and support.
I hope i have been of help.
