Can Drinking Water Without Thirst Cause Sore Throat?
Yesssss uhmmmm I seem to be having a soar throat and it only occurs when I force myself to drink water which I don t usually do. My good friend tells me its because my body is not used to me drinking water that it takes it all drenching me out. I don t know what to do because I really do want to start having a better lifestyle regarding my eating and drinking habits
Hi and welcome to HCM. Your friends are totally wrong, so dont worry. Drinking lots of water will not cause sore throat. But do remember that drinking very cold water during winter season and drinking contaminated water may lead to sore throat and some times even it may lead to gastroenteritis. If u are drinking purified water from a good source then no need to worry. Most of the doctors advice lots of water to drink daily. In winter i suggest u to drink warm water. Regards.
